Chic Reloaded

I know my blog has been my polish lately, but since I have started graduate school as of today, polish posts are easy to fit in my schedule for the time being!

And besides, there is a lot of buzz about Essence polishes, and I found a shade that has gotten a lot of love, but not nearly enough yet!

This is Essence ‘Chic Reloaded’ and retails for $1.99. I love Essence as a brand, they are affordable and good quality. The nail polish bottles have had a massive make-over, turning from little cylinders to these hourglass bottles with colored tops. I love it — now you can spot them easily in your stash!

This is such a fun color for fall. It is a dark purple/teal duochrome and the shift is fairly noticeable, especially in sunlight. The new brushes on these are kind of awful…they remind me of the Sally Hansen salon ones…they are big and rounded and are supposed to cover the whole nail in one sweep…but I have thin nail beds which equals mess!

So pretty! It also has a bit of a shimmer to it! The formula is nice, not too thick or thin and in two coats it has the desired effect. No chips after a few days, but tip wear (seen here) after three days. Not bad, not good.

Final Thoughts: Affordable, unique duochrome!
